INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE CELEBRATION AND SONORITY

Interdisciplinary investigation of Hispanic American poetic and musical sources (xvi-xix centuries)

(Morelia, Mexico 14th to 16th November, 2019)

PRESENTATION

The Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México, Escuela Nacional de Estudios Superiores Unidad Morelia, Unidad de Investigación sobre Representaciones Culturales y Sociales, Instituto de Investigaciones Bibliográficas; Centro Nacional de Investigación, Documentación e Información Musical “Carlos Chavez” of the Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes, and Conservatorio de las Rosas summon to the the International Congress Celebration and Sonority: Interdisciplinary Investigation of Hispanic American Poetic-Musical Sources (xvi-xix centuries) which will take place at the Escuela Nacional de Estudios Superiores Unidad Morelia of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México and at the Conservatorio de las Rosas from November 14th to November 16th 2019.

This proposal departs from the Edición de fuentes poético-musicales hispanoamericanas (siglos xvi-xvii) (sep-conacyt 284407) collaboration project, that is dedicated to the rescue, critic edition, study, and diffusion of the Hispanic American poetic and musical legacy from xvi-xvii centuries, and from the work on the Investigación interdisciplinaria sobre fuentes poético-musicales virreinales (unam-dgapa-papiit 404417) project.

Inspired for the previous editions of the Coloquio de Musicología de Morelia and the Coloquio del Taller de Edición de Textos Antiguos we seek to offer a space to academic dialogue among disciplines that promotes the study and diffusion of the Hispanic American poetic and musical sources in direct relation with musical interpretation, cataloging and musical performers capacitation.
